
Group Training CPBC JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Introduction to the game of Badminton YOUTH BEGINNER 1 (10 LESSONS) YOUTH BEGINNER 2 (10 LESSONS) Course Objective: -Learn about Rules, Scoring and Badminton Terminology -Learn and demonstrate safe and appropriate badminton court etiquette -Complete stretching and warm up exercise -Basic physical fitness exercise -Learn the fundamental skills: Basic hand grip Racket control Forehand, Backhand and Overhead strokes Basic lob or clear High and Low serve Basic footwork -Complete the basic skill tests for the beginner Understand the game of badminton YOUTH INTERMEADIATE 1 (10 LESSONS) YOUTH INTERMEADIATE 2 (10 LESSONS) Course Objective: -Basic fitness training related to badminton -Learn the performance skills Serve-forehand, backhand and flick serve; Return and receiving serve Drop, Smash, Drive, Clear, Block and Deception shot Net play Foot work -Court movement and consistency with the basic skills -Participate in drills and games to improve physical fitness and motor skills -Learn and understand Badminton Strategies required for singles game play. - Learn and understand Badminton Strategies and cooperative efforts required for double game play -Complete the performance skills test -Encourage to start completing in tournament Mastering the game of Badminton YOUTH ADVANCE 1 (15 lessons) YOUTH ADVANCE 2 (15 lessons) Course Objective: -Concentrate on development of techniques, drills, strategy, and games preparation for competition -Agility Training: Speed, Strength, Power, Flexibility and Endurance training -Basic offensive and defensive strategy for singles, doubles, and mix doubles -Advance foot work drills -One to one evaluation by Head Coach -Specific shot selection training -Member of the Elite Youth Program -Eligible for CPBC Sponsored Junior Player -keep written self evaluation of practice matches Call (347) 368-4124 for details
